I listen to the Prophet’s voice that spoke so clear to me
He spoke of all that I can do to be all that I can be
His words sank deep into my soul and filled my heart with love
And I became much closer to my Savior up above
This Prophet spoke of many sins and how we should repent
He testified of Jesus love and how His life was spent
He told me how my faith could grow if I’d just plant it’s seed
He taught me through his written word as I took time to read
You see these Prophet’s speak to us about these latter days
And show us though their life and times about our Savior’s ways
So join me as I read their words and hear their voices clear
By reading scripture everyday we’ll know our course to steer

A Parents Prayer
You sent a child to me
to fill my life with joy,
And only You knew which was best
-A little girl or little boy.
Somehow I took for granted, Lord,
That we would have a lifetime,
And I made so many future plans,
For that precious child of mine.
Enchanted by that Miracle,
Caught up in each new day,
I guess I didn't hear you, Lord,
When you said, "They can't stay."
I trust You, Lord, Thy Will; not mine,
Yet I cant understand,
This sudden loss-this emptiness-
Caused by another's hand.
I know my child's in heaven now,
But my heart is aching so,
I'm sorry I wasn't ready, Lord
to let my baby's go.
There wasn't time for one last hug;
There was no final kiss,
Oh God, its all those special smiles
That I already miss.
So Lord, could You do just one thing
For me especially?
Please hold my son's close to You
For all Eternity.
to fill my life with joy,
And only You knew which was best
-A little girl or little boy.
Somehow I took for granted, Lord,

"He Only Took My Hand"
Last night while I was trying to sleep,
My son's voice I did hear,
I opened my eyes and looked around,
But he did not appear.
He said, "Mom, you've got to listen,
You've got to understand,
God didn't take me away from you,
He only took my hand.
When I called out in pain that day,
The moment that I died,
He reached down and took my hand,
And pulled me to His side.
He pulled me up and saved me
From the misery and pain.
My body was hurt so badly,
I could never be the same.
My search is really over now,
I've found happiness within,
All the answers to my empty dreams
And all that might have been.
I love you mom and miss you so,
And I'll always be nearby.
My body's gone forever,
But my spirit will never die.
And so, you must all go on now,
And live, and understand...
God did not take me from you,
He only took my hand."
I was sharing with a friend today about when our parent's die, we are called orphans.
When our spouse's die, we are called widows or widowers. But when a parent losses their child, what are we called? Survivors... I said to her, after the death of my children, there is nothing that can happen to me now, that I can't survive because I thought this would kill me.
It's a club no one wants to be apart of. As members, we can only share our memories of the young men and women, who's whole life was before them but cut short by tragedy. It's all we have left. Memories. It is a club, where every member understands the other members. Although their stories are different, the names change, the number of years that have gone by may be shorter or longer... the pain is the same.... A quiet numbness. You can see the darkness in our eyes, a look of silent desperation, a longing for some one, anyone to care as much as we do about what has happened to us. But only if you look at us... Really look at us.
People stand amazed at how we can go on living a normal life after such a tragedy. I say to them there is nothing normal about it, we go and do because we have no choice. I get up and do because God is my strength, my comforter, my refuge, my peace, my calm in the midst of my storms, my helper. I can testify to you to day that without Him, I would be able to do nothing.
With Him, all things are possible, even the impossible.
Moral of this Blog: " Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of sympathy (pity and mercy) and the God [Who is the Source] of every comfort (consolation and encouragement). 4. Who comforts (consoles and encourages) us in every trouble ( calamity and affliction), so that we may also be able to comfort (console and encourage) those who are in any kind of trouble or distress, with the comfort( consolation and encouragement) with which we ourselves are comforted by God." 2 Corinthians 1: 3-5
2."Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God's favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God. 3. Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unanswered endurance. 4. And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [ the habit of] joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation. 5. Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God's love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us." Romans 5:3-5

When A Tree Grows...
When a tree grows in the wild, it is held by nothing but the space around it
If the space around is densely overgrown
it may not live to see the sun with its crown held high
If the space around is vast and wide the wind will reshape
the growing trunk into a crooked stem, aging it before its time
when u grow up in the wild, circumstances shape the way u are
when a tree grows under God's care, the space it grows in is made safe
the strong stake that is driven into the ground along the side of the young stem
that the tree is being tied to, is giving it direction and support
when u grow up in God's care the foundation and structure that
u r given, shapes the strength that u can be
when a tree is cared for and raised to become tall and strong
it needs insight and knowledge on the caretakers hand to remove the spike at the right time
If it is removed too early the winds play with the young tree and deform it to their will
if it is left too long the rope that bonds it to the tree will grow into the bark
becoming ever impossible to be removed
however
The forester (GOD) knows just the right point in time for letting go of the restraint
the tree will grow tall and strong and will be free to challenge it’s surroundings
when you are cared for and raised to become free the time of letting go is not by chance
and your freedom is strength that grows within
God says "I am the true vine and and my Father is the Gardner. He cuts off every branch that doesn't produce fruit and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they produce even more. You have already been pruned for greater fruitfulness by the message I have given you. Yes, I am the vine and you are the branches. Those who remain in me and I in them, will produce much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing." John 15 1-5
I hope this makes sense, the tree is you and me. As I grow stronger every day in my relationship with God, I am challenged with my surroundings... co-workers, neighbors, people I meet every day. There are many people I meet that are growing wild, and the winds
are wearing on them, beating them down. I am to be Jesus to them, show them, in my actions, speak it with my words, show them compassion, mercy, and love them where they are.
As christians, its easy to hang around other christians, they talk, walk and act like we do, but the challenge is to hang out with sinners, Jesus did. God has shown me in my quiet time with him this week that I am not be afraid of what people think, say or do, that do not understand. God has called me to be a light in the darkness, thats where I will shine the brightest, not in the light.
I excepted His challenge this week and had dinner with a few friends that had invited me out for a get together, I must say I knew what that meant and went anyway, I had a good time, had a glass of wine and sat and listened. Before the evening was over, one of the ladies told me, she was surprised to see me, when I ask why, she replied, I always thought you were to good for us. My reply was simply, I'm sorry I gave you that impression, I always thought you were to good for me. She said well, you go to church and everything, I replied yes, but we are just alike you and me, there is only one difference in us.... I'm forgiven by the blood of Christ.
Our conversation got very interesting, alot of questions were asked, and answered. I invited her to church Sunday night, she came and said she really enjoyed it. She told me how she had been thinking about getting back into church and that she had not been in several years and she new she needed to. Now will that happen every time...no.. but God placed me in a position to talk to her and with a simple statement, He was able to open a door and touch her heart. Everyone we come in contact with day, needs Jesus. He is the only answer. And if we choose to just hang out with fellow believers, we are catering to ourselves, and Jesus says we are to be light to a lost and dying world.
Moral of this Blog: "You will tell his people how to find salvation through forgiveness of their sins. Because of God"s tender mercy, the light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those in the darkness and in the shadows of death, and to guide us to the path of peace."
